This project called for the redesign of an urban space in London and the design of a civic theatre. The theatre has two auditoriums the main one is a courtyard theatre and a smaller black box type auditorium. Zoning is distinct in the building, as public, private and servicing spaces are clearly defined. The foyer encircles the two auditoriums, facing the exterior pedestrian route to Holland Park.The rectangular volumes of the two auditoriums will be clearly visible through the glazing of the foyer and will be the main feature of the building, especially at night during the performances.
